Curriculum Vitae of Psychologist Thessaloniki

You can learn about my Curriculum Vitae and personal experience here

  • I graduated from the Department of Psychology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2006, having completed a number of volunteer work on the part of psychiatric de-institutionalization and self-help of users of mental health services throughout my studies.

These experiences have been decisive for my subsequent career as I have experienced the first experiences of the meeting with the people whom I was called to support as a psychologist. Volunteering continued for me in various other contexts, such as Doctors of the World, in actions to tackle school bullying, etc. and is a life-long attitude.

Getting significant experience

My interest in my subject was intense and led me to different contexts, where in the early years of my career I was trying to get as much experience as possible on my job.

  • I worked as a psychologist in Crete, in Aegina and from 2008 to 2009, I worked for a year and a half at the Office for Support of Vulnerable Groups in the Prefecture of Trikala.

At that time, I gained the significant experience of community awareness and prevention actions as well as individual counseling sessions.

  • In 2009, I moved to France. where I lived for 2 years. In the meantime I completed my Masters Degree (Master 2 Pro) “Psychology of Social Bond and Psychosocial Intervention” at Lumière, Lyon II, and I obtained the title of Psychologist in France.

My contact with another system of mental health services, prevention, child protection and psychosocial interventions has opened new horizons for me both at my level of thinking and in that of clinical practice.

  • For a school year, I did my practice as a psychologist in schools in the suburbs of Lyon, and I worked on individual and group sessions with children, adolescents, parents and teachers.

At that time I came into contact with play therapy and under supervision I managed to complete the cycle of therapeutic sessions between children and adolescents I undertook, while at the same time I was also at the academic level with play therapy as a therapeutic tool. My practice and my theoretical references were psychoanalytically inspired.

Prevention and Counseling Actions

  • Returning to Greece, from 2011 to 2013, I worked as a Psychologist in Thessaloniki and a Scientific Associate of the University of Thessaly in the Psychological Support Programs at schools, primary schools and kindergarten in Thessaloniki.

At that time, in collaboration with the parents and teachers of the schools I worked for, we have implemented a multitude of prevention and counseling actions that deal with issues of relationships and mental health.

Indicatively, I mention the following: prevention programs with students, teachers and parents. Individual counseling with students, parents and teachers. Speeches on children’s psycho-emotional development issues, family relationship issues, networking with social services and neighboring schools.

Since then I have worked as a Psychologist in various professional contexts in Thessaloniki. In 2013, until 2014, I was a lecturer in the “Psychology-Professional Ethics” course at the IEK of Stavroupolis OAED, and in 2014 I provided professional counseling sessions in the “Local Actions for Social Inclusion for Vulnerable Groups” Program – Cycle Act and in the same year I worked as a Psychologist at Polygyros Special School. At the same time throughout the 2014-2015 school year, I was a Trainer at the Parents’ Schools in Eastern Thessaloniki.

My contact with all the above cooperation frameworks reinforced my desire for further training and specialization in my subject. In 2015 I began my second postgraduate training at the Department of Medicine of AUTh, “Developmental Psychopathology of Infancy and Early Childhood”, which I completed in 2018.

Getting bigger specialisation

From 2016 to 2019 I worked in the field of child protection and I continue to work to support the refugee population. In the last few years, I have been working both in an academic field, in my second postgraduate studies, and in my work on parent-child issues, on parenting itself in its various forms, and on the extreme conditions of separation of parents – children.

From the end of 2013 to the present day, I maintain a private psychologist’s office in Thessaloniki, 36, Ermou Street, where I have sessions with adults, children, adolescents and parents, using the psychodynamic approach to my clinical practice.
